Pig receiver and launcher barrels are key components of pressure pipeline cleaning equipment. They are installed at both ends of pressure pipelines to launch and receive pipeline pigs. Main components: quick-opening blind plate, barrel, reducer, process nozzle, indicator, saddle support, etc.

Classification

Type I and Type II

Type I: for launching and receiving conventional pigs
Type II: for launching and receiving intelligent pigs Installation type: horizontal

Installation and Connection

The pig receiver and launcher shall be installed horizontally. The center height above ground is generally about 1 meter. The quick-opening blind end of the pig receiver shall be slightly lower with a gradient of 5/1000; the quick-opening blind end of the pig launcher shall be slightly higher with a gradient of 5/1000. The pig receiver and launcher are connected to the underground main pipeline via valves and elbows connected to straight pipe sections. The full bore of the ball valve connecting the pigging assembly to the main pipeline shall match the inner diameter of the pigged pipeline.

A vent valve, safety valve and pressure gauge shall be installed on the upper part near the quick-opening blind of the pig receiver and launcher; a blowdown valve shall be fitted at the bottom, and medium inlet and outlet shall be arranged on the side.
