Product Overview

Pipeline gas automatic shut-off valve, referred to as automatic shut-off valve, is installed on low-pressure gas pipelines. When overpressure, underpressure or overcurrent occurs in the gas transmission pipeline, it can automatically shut off without external power supply or external power, and manual reset is required. The installation of automatic shut-off valves greatly improves the safety of gas supply for residents, and helps gas companies save substantial management costs during gas cut-off and resumption of supply. In case of gas supply faults such as excessively low gas pressure (e.g. pipeline rupture, maintenance, gas suspension) or excessively high gas pressure, the valve will automatically close the gas transmission pipeline to protect users’ personal safety and household property.

Basic Principle

The basic principle of the pipeline gas automatic shut-off valve is as follows: permanent magnetic materials are magnetized in accordance with design requirements to form a multi-pole permanent magnetic linkage mechanism with permanent memory. It identifies changes in gas pressure parameters passing through the mechanism, and automatically closes the valve to cut off the gas supply once the pressure exceeds the safe set value.

Main Functions

Automatic shut-off upon hose detachment: It closes automatically when the rubber hose ages, ruptures, loosens or falls off, preventing accidents caused by massive gas leakage.

Automatic shut-off under low pressure: It closes automatically when the gas supply pressure is excessively low, which may lead to flameout or flashback. It effectively avoids leakage accidents triggered by unstable gas supply pressure resulting from insufficient gas supply, intermittent gas supply, time-shared gas supply, peak demand, pipeline ice blockage and other conditions.

Automatic shut-off during gas suspension: It closes automatically in case of sudden gas suspension caused by maintenance or accidental third-party damage (e.g. pipeline excavation rupture). It prevents gas leakage upon supply resumption and eliminates potential safety hazards occurring when users are away from home.

Automatic shut-off under overpressure: It closes automatically when the gas pressure inside the pipeline exceeds the safe operating range, preventing rupture or detachment of rubber hoses due to high pressure, or flame lifting of cookers caused by excessive pressure.
